France TV’s digital content teams are more agile with JIRA

France TV, France’s leading broadcaster with a large multi-channel digital presence, tasked a 100-person Digital Content department—organized into teams for news, sports, culture and VOD—with delivering countless projects for web, mobile and smart TVs. Teams were juggling multiple concurrent initiatives using bulletin boards, post‑its and disparate tools, creating poor visibility and inefficiency that made planning and meeting deadlines difficult.

The department adopted Jira and Jira Agile, plus Confluence and Hipchat, to drive an agile transformation: teams run daily tracking, visualize progress, estimate workloads, and archive docs in Confluence while using Hipchat for real‑time incident communication. The new toolset improved transparency and collaboration across roles, sped agile adoption, increased quality and flexibility, reduced delays and missed deadlines, and allowed easy customization so non‑technical teams could use the system effectively.
