Case Study: EQ Bank achieves faster software delivery—doubled monthly releases and 50% more builds with Atlassian Confluence

A Atlassian Confluence Case Study

Preview of the EQ Bank Case Study

EQ Bank ups its competitive game with Atlassian cloud products

EQ Bank is a Toronto-based digital challenger bank focused on delivering superior online experiences, but in 2016 its software delivery was hampered by slow waterfall processes, outsourced development with disparate tools and multiple Jira instances, and limited visibility for compliance and security. This fragmentation made it difficult to deliver customer value quickly and reliably.

Working with Atlassian and partner Blended Perspectives, EQ Bank moved to Atlassian Cloud (Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Desk) and standardized processes to enable DevOps and CI/CD. The changes gave full traceability, automated incident-to-issue workflows, and easier audits, while lowering TCO—allowing product innovation like higher-interest combined accounts. As a result, EQ Bank doubled monthly production releases, achieved 50% more builds per day, scaled its IT team, and continues to expand automation and monitoring.
