Kabbage, an Atlanta-based fintech and data platform that provides automated funding to small businesses and serves more than 90,000 customers, experienced rapid growth and by 2016 had grown to over 350 employees. As the company expanded, teams relied on a patchwork of tools and needed to consolidate and integrate systems to streamline workflows and improve cross-department communication.

Kabbage standardized on Atlassian—Hipchat, Confluence, Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Bitbucket, and Bamboo—making Confluence the single source of truth, using Hipchat for announcements and quick collaboration, and Jira tools for project and support tracking. The integrated toolchain enabled continuous deployment (about six releases per day), boosted productivity and transparency across technical and nontechnical teams, and simplified collaboration with large external partners.
