How Purdue University generates more high-quality applicants while saving staff time

Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management needed a better way to engage Gen Z and global prospective students through a preferred digital interface, while supporting a growing audience with a small internal team. AtlasRTX helped the university address this challenge with a web-based chatbot for its master’s degree pages.

Using AtlasRTX, Purdue University implemented an always-on chatbot that provides guided conversations, answers program-specific questions with context awareness, and collects contact information for admissions follow-up. The results were strong: 88% of conversations were handled entirely by the chatbot, 20% of engaged prospects converted to applications, and 52% of chatbot-sourced applicants were accepted, helping Purdue scale recruiting without adding staff and saving the equivalent of three full-time employees’ workload.
