The Premier League, the world’s most-watched annual sporting competition, needed to modernise its desktop estate to support growing demand for remote and BYOD working while preserving the high performance and security staff expect. With frequent hardware and software updates and an increasingly mobile workforce, IT sought a way to give employees secure access to the same applications and files they use in the office from any device or location.

Working with SITS Group, the organisation deployed a VMware Horizon View VDI solution augmented with Atlantis ILIO storage acceleration and NVIDIA GPUs to deliver high-performance virtual desktops and rich media. The rollout enabled secure, anytime/any-device access to personal desktops and applications across the business, improved mobility and user satisfaction, and maintained the same level of desktop performance staff were accustomed to.
