Arizona tile makes colocation move, doubles capacity, saves money and space with atlantis hyperscale

Arizona Tile, a multi-state stone and tile retailer, needed to move its primary data center to a colocation facility while supporting a major tax-software and ERP upgrade, expanding VDI, and virtualizing SQL, file and email servers. With limited rack space and rising costs for additional disks, the IT team faced the challenge of increasing storage and compute without ballooning their physical footprint or budget.

They deployed two 12TB Atlantis HyperScale hyperconverged appliances—fitting into four rack units for the same cost as traditional disk upgrades—and migrated critical applications to the colocation site with no business interruption. The result: doubled capacity, higher performance, reduced footprint and costs, increased compute for Citrix/ERP/SQL workloads, and repurposed legacy equipment as a disaster-recovery and test environment.
