North Carolina Government modernizes RDU website for 70% mobile users with Atlantic BT

The North Carolina Government's Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) sought to modernize its digital presence to be more accessible and user-friendly, with a specific focus on mobile users who represented 70% of their traffic. To address this challenge and separate information for passengers from airport authority content, RDU partnered with vendor Atlantic BT for a comprehensive Drupal web development project.

Atlantic BT implemented a structured process involving discovery, design, and development to migrate the site from WordPress to Drupal 10. The solution included a mobile-responsive design, an integrated alert system, support for over 20 languages, and a modernized AWS infrastructure. The result was a fully rebranded, scalable, and accessible website that provided an enhanced experience for all users and successfully aligned with the airport's Vision 2040 goals.
