How TechStyle Used Agile Sprints to Roll Out a Modern Data Platform

TechStyle Fashion Group, a fashion retailer with multiple brands and a 50-member analytics team, needed a better way to roll out a modern data platform while dealing with legacy systems, remote work, and a growing amount of tribal knowledge. As the company moved to Snowflake and modernized its analytics stack, it struggled to make data discoverable and understandable across teams, especially as onboarding slowed and documentation was limited or nonexistent.

To solve this, TechStyle used Atlan alongside Snowflake, Tableau, Airflow, and Git to build collaborative data documentation and governance from the ground up. The team started with one EDW use case, then used Agile two-week sprints to document tables and columns, refine standards, and add approval workflows.
