Austin Capital Bank, a fast-growing community bank and digital lender, needed to modernize from a traditional banking setup into a product-centric, digital-first operation. As the bank built a modern data stack with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, ThoughtSpot, and Atlan, it also had to solve for secure access to sensitive customer data while enabling self-service analytics for internal teams.

With Atlan, Austin Capital Bank implemented active metadata management, masking policies, lineage, and glossary-based governance on top of Snowflake, allowing employees to safely access data without relying on the data team for every request. Atlan’s Insights feature helped the bank support the launch of its FreeKick product in just two hours, giving the client service team self-service querying without SQL and helping a lean two-to-three person team run the entire stack efficiently.
