Simmons & Simmons is a global law firm with 22 offices that set out to modernize its workplace—moving from private offices to more open, flexible spaces—and to standardize a cloud-first IT platform with Windows 10 desktops. The firm needed a way to centrally manage, monitor and improve application and device performance for 2,000 users worldwide so the remote and multi-generational workforce would have a consistent end-user experience.

Working with Riverbed, Simmons & Simmons deployed Aternity after a successful proof of concept, rolling it out across all 22 locations in six months to monitor every desktop user. Aternity delivers real‑time baselines, alerts and automated tickets, gives a single view of digital applications, speeds troubleshooting, enables proactive support, and provides metrics to guide change management and future IT investment — with plans to extend monitoring to mobile users and broaden access across the business.
