Tokyo Broadcasting System Television - Customer Case Study

Tokyo Broadcasting System Television sought to improve the efficiency of managing its new 40-server render farm located in a high-security server room. The key challenges were the cumbersome process of gaining physical access to the room for any task and the inability for multiple operators to simultaneously access the servers for setup using their old analog KVM switch. They turned to vendor ATEN for a solution.

ATEN implemented its KN4140v 40-port KVM over the Net switch and a CE250A KVM extender. This allowed administrators to access and control servers remotely from their desks, eliminating the need for constant physical entry. The solution’s multi-user support and virtual media function enabled the simultaneous and rapid setup of all 40 servers, greatly improving work efficiency. The compact 1U design of the KN4140v also freed up valuable rack space for other equipment.
