SanLih E-Television (SET) - Customer Case Study

SanLih E-Television (SET), a major cable TV network and content creator in Taiwan, required a more efficient broadcast and editing infrastructure. Their challenges included removing noisy, heat-generating computers from workspaces, extending KVM signals over long distances without reliability issues, and centralizing the management of numerous high-performance computing systems. They turned to vendor ATEN for a solution.

ATEN implemented a large-scale KVM extension and switching system using their CE610A HDBaseT Extenders and CS1788 KVM Switches. This allowed SET to relocate all computing hardware to central server rooms while providing editors and broadcast operators with remote, single-cable access from their desks. The solution from ATEN created computer-free workspaces, eliminated cable clutter, and streamlined IT maintenance, resulting in a significantly optimized and reliable production environment for the broadcaster.
