The telecommunications customer, a data center company in Germany, faced a challenge after merging departments, which required the centralized and secure management of server parks distributed across three separate cities. To address this, they partnered with ATEN and implemented a solution using their KVM over IP switches and adapters.

The solution from ATEN involved deploying 79 KN4140VA KVM over IP switches and 3,160 KA7169 adapters to enable remote access and control of all servers from a central maintenance office. This provided the data center company with secure, FIPS 140-2 compliant access, allowing IT managers to efficiently automate processes and only intervene during irregularities, either remotely or locally. The implementation improved operational efficiency through features like the PadClient app for mobile surveillance and a broadcasting mode for simultaneous server management.
