A ATEN Case Study
China Life Insurance faced significant challenges during a major corporate merger and expansion, which required the rapid integration of IT systems and the construction of a new high-performance data center. Their key hurdles included complex server cabling causing clutter, the need for multi-platform support, constraints on physical access for administrators, and the need for remote administration capabilities to ensure business continuity. They partnered with vendor ATEN to implement a solution based on ATEN's KVM Over the NET™ technology, specifically the KN4116 and KH1516 switches.
The ATEN KVM solution provided China Life Insurance with efficient, secure, and stable remote administration capabilities, enabling up to four administrators to manage servers simultaneously from their desks. This eliminated the need for frequent physical access to the data center, reduced cabling clutter, improved heat dissipation, and provided strong security features. The implementation was a major success, allowing the company to complete the build-out and integration of its all-new data center in just 26 days, ensuring business operations continued flawlessly and reducing administrative costs.
