The Changwon City Government faced inefficiency and increased costs as its IT administrators were required to physically visit the data center to manage servers using traditional analog KVM switches. To improve operations, they sought a secure over-IP KVM solution that would allow for remote server management and controlled access permissions for different administrators. They turned to vendor ATEN for a solution.

ATEN implemented its KVM Over the NET™ solution, primarily using the KN2140v 40-port switch and KA7170 adapter cables. This allowed administrators to control servers remotely from a control room, eliminating travel time to the data center and vastly increasing work efficiency across 40 servers. The solution provided advanced security features like IP/MAC filtering and user permissions.
