US Passenger Airline - Customer Case Study

US Passenger Airline, one of the world’s largest airlines, faced fragmented, manually maintained reference data spread across spreadsheets and multiple systems with no standard change-management, auditing, or clear ownership. To support a consolidated Enterprise Data Warehouse and shift maintenance to business users, the airline engaged Ataccama and its Ataccama ONE RDM module to provide an intuitive GUI, enforce business rules, and automate integrated reference-data workflows.

Ataccama implemented a centralized reference-data repository with role-based UIs, access control, auditing and versioning, bulk import/export, back-propagation to source systems, and pre-publish validations. The Ataccama solution improved data quality so only verified data is pushed to the EDW, reduced IT costs by shifting stewardship to business users, sped up responses to changes, and is now in production across more than 40 entities (flight ranges, delay codes, seating charts, crew, revenue management, etc.), delivering better collaboration between business and IT.
