UK Banking Group, one of Europe’s largest banking groups, needed to replace a patchwork of spreadsheets and point tools with a single enterprise data quality platform to meet regulatory requirements, starting with BCBS 239. They engaged Ataccama and adopted the Ataccama ONE platform to centralize data quality rules, automate metadata ingestion from Collibra, and implement ongoing DQ monitoring and controls across their new Hadoop-based Data Hub.

Ataccama implemented a phased solution—rolling out DQ monitoring for the Data Hub, centralizing rules and failed-rule tracking, and going live in June 2019—positioning the UK Banking Group to be among the first major organizations awaiting external BCBS 239 certification. Using Ataccama ONE modules for Data Quality Management and Big Data Processing, the bank rationalized tools, automated workflows, and established a foundation for cloud migration, machine learning prototypes, and ongoing enterprise DQ services.
