Major European Bank needed to improve event-driven marketing by detecting real-life customer signals from unstructured and transactional text. The bank engaged Ataccama and deployed the Ataccama ONE platform module for Big Data Processing & Data Integration to ingest and process three data types (bank clerk notes, internet-banking transaction descriptions, and card transaction identifiers) to better target offers.
Ataccama used text analytics and keyword parsing to identify two high-value segments — parents facing school-start expenses and customers planning travel — and delivered tailored loan and credit-card offers. The Ataccama solution produced a 6–7% conversion rate (roughly 2× the traditional direct-mail/call-center approach) and drove an overall sales-success improvement of more than 10× compared with legacy targeting.
