Centralized reference data management on AWS

RSA faced fragmented reference data stored in Excel and hardcoded source files, with multiple versions, limited change visibility, and brittle ETL processes. To centralize and standardize reference data on AWS, RSA engaged Ataccama and deployed Ataccama’s Reference Data Management solution (Ataccama ONE) to eliminate duplication, enforce data quality, and provide a single source of truth for consuming systems.

Ataccama implemented a web interface, data-quality controls, approval workflows, daily extracts and optional online synchronization, and managed the technical configuration and integrations as an Ataccama Managed Solution. The result was a single, auditable version of reference data with full change history and steward approvals, daily synchronized feeds to consumers, and a TCO outcome where the Ataccama Managed Solution cost less than 50% of the comparable on‑prem alternative; operational reliability was further improved by migrating the database to Amazon RDS.
