Cegeka, a Belgium-based ICT provider serving healthcare, public, retail, logistics and financial sectors, needed a better way to handle threat detection and incident response. They had not deployed a SIEM but were looking for SIEM-like functionality to improve visibility and compliance across their environment.

Cegeka selected AlienVault Unified Security Management (USM) for its strong threat detection, compliance support, ease of use, affordability and open OTX development. After deployment they found USM reduced the amount of work required to identify threats, proved more effective than other security tools they had used, and made it easy to detect malicious traffic on their network.
