Air Force Federal Credit Union (Air Force FCU), a 50‑year‑old credit union serving more than 38,000 members with 130 employees and $242M in assets, faced an administrative bottleneck: a longstanding paper-based timecard process required HR and payroll to manually verify over 100 timecards every two weeks, creating errors, inconsistent benefits application and wasted staff time. Management in 2003 prioritized finding an automated, payroll‑compatible solution to eliminate that verification burden.
They implemented AsureForce Time & Labor, a web‑based time and attendance system that automates employee time entry, pay‑rule calculations, supervisor approvals and payroll interfacing, while adding online leave requests, automated absence tracking and robust reporting. The rollout completed faster than expected, produced only a few missing punches, reduced verification workload and errors, improved leave and attendance visibility, delivered cost savings and gave HR greater confidence that employees’ benefits were applied consistently.
