A Astrix Security Case Study
Mercury, a fintech company serving more than 2,000 startups, needed better visibility and control over non-human identities such as API keys, machine credentials, and OAuth-connected apps. During a third-party breach involving Dropbox Sign, the team faced potential exposure and needed a faster way to identify affected accounts and understand non-human access across its environment. Mercury partnered with Astrix Security and used its non-human identity security platform to address this gap.
With Astrix Security’s platform, including tools like App Analyzer and Anomaly Manager, Mercury could quickly vet new app requests, collect business justifications for access, and detect risky non-human activity. Most notably, Astrix Security helped Mercury remediate affected accounts in 30 minutes during the breach response—work that would have taken days using logs and manual reverse engineering—while also improving overall IAM visibility and maturity.
