The Union League Club of Chicago (ULCC) is a private hospitality club that relies on three core systems—Northstar (MySQL) for club management, ClubEssentials for its website (CSV imports), and ResortSuite (Oracle) for room reservations—to manage membership, events, finances and reservations. The Club needed robust, automated ETL and synchronization among these systems but was hindered by an outdated integration tool with a steep learning curve, rising license and support costs, poor documentation, and no intuitive drag-and-drop interface.
ULCC implemented Astera’s Centerprise Data Integrator, working with Astera specialists to recreate dataflows and workflows and enable scheduled, one-way syncing using Oracle and MySQL connectors. The solution automated job scheduling and simplified maintenance, cutting the time to create synchronized database tables by 70%—from 4–5 hours per week to about 30 minutes—while providing a more cost-effective, user-friendly platform for reporting and analytics.
