CRC Cuts Development Time By Half for Large-Scale Data Migration to the Cloud

CRC Industries, a global manufacturer of chemical specialty products with 26 production sites and operations across multiple regions, needed to migrate enterprise-wide legacy data into Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D3FO). The project was hampered by limited resources and a manual, error-prone approach—relying on Excel, text files, SQL and D3FO templates—which made large-scale migration slow and complex.

CRC adopted Astera Centerprise, moved the Astera server to Azure, and used its automated ETL, profiling and validation features to eliminate hand-coding and streamline workflows. The solution delivered about 40% time savings in designing and executing data transfers, smoother integration with Azure and D3FO, and cleaner, validated customer data for reporting while enabling more self-service by business users.
