Electricité de Tahiti chooses Astec for Complete GIS system implementation

Electricité de Tahiti (EDT), the electric utility for French Polynesia, faced the daunting challenge of implementing a complete new GIS system to manage its electricity production and distribution network. Astec was commissioned by GE Digital Energy to manage this complex project, which involved migrating over 27 GB of data into a Smallworld NRM Electricity database.

Astec provided a turnkey solution by first building a proof-of-concept prototype, then developing a dedicated framework for the complex data migration. Through close cooperation, Astec delivered the fully customized system on time and with the best possible quality, leading to full customer acceptance. Following the deployment, Astec continued to provide maintenance, support, and implementation of new features for EDT.
