A Asset Panda Case Study
Stanford University, a leading research university with over 16,000 students, needed a better way to track assets used in its undergraduate study‑abroad program. The prior internally hosted PHP system could not handle equipment moving across multiple countries, offered no reporting, and left staff without a clear, up‑to‑date view of what assets existed, where they were, or their condition.
By implementing Asset Panda, Stanford centralized asset management across eight international offices, added barcode label creation and scanning, assigned unique asset IDs, and enabled customizable real‑time reporting. The solution improved visibility and accountability for loaner equipment and software, made asset data instantly accessible from anywhere, and saved staff up to three hours a day; Stanford has been a customer since July 2017.
