Nashville Fire Department Ups Its Accountability Factor With Asset Panda

The Nashville Fire Department, one of the top 20 departments in the country with more than 1,200 personnel across 38 stations, needed a reliable way to track thousands of moving, mission‑critical assets—engines, ladders, rescue trucks, ambulances and the equipment on them. With crews and equipment constantly rotating between locations, they had no consistent system for knowing what gear was where or whether it was maintained and ready for emergency use.

Implementing Asset Panda gave the department a centralized, easy-to-use asset tracking system that provides accurate inventories, maintenance records, multi‑location tracking and financial accountability. Since adopting the platform (customer since September 2017) Nashville has increased operational readiness and accountability, reduced equipment loss and improved reporting—while planning to expand from desktop to mobile use for even greater field efficiency.
