Asset Panda’s Barcoding Makes a Big Difference for Canadian Private School System

Conseil Scolaire Catholique de District des Grandes Rivières is a Ontario-based private school system serving over 6,200 students across 29 elementary schools, 8 high schools and 3 alternative education centers spread over roughly 25,000 km². Managing a large, frequently moved inventory (previously tracked only in Excel) made it difficult to know what equipment they owned, where it was located, and when items needed replacement.

The district implemented Asset Panda (customer since June 2017) to barcode assets and use the mobile app for scanning, enabling centralized, multi-location tracking and easy serial-number lookups. The switch has improved visibility and asset management, saved about an hour per day, and—thanks to responsive customer support and ongoing rollout of barcoding—is positioning the district to expand use of the platform.
