Asset Panda Gives Highway Patrol Officers Fast, Easy Way To Track Their Vital Assets

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), founded in 1935 with about 200 employees across three divisions and an extensive fleet (patrol cars, nine canine units and a Cessna T‑206), needed a better way to manage a wide variety of distributed, grant‑funded assets—from vehicles and firearms to laptops, radios and specialized equipment. Their previous tracking system was stagnant and fragmented, making audits, locating items, sharing data and maintaining accountability across multiple locations slow and cumbersome.

Since adopting Asset Panda (customer since November 2017), NDHP centralized asset data with mobile and desktop apps, automated reporting and flexible filters, eliminating reliance on spreadsheets. The solution delivered improved asset management, accurate timely reports, multi‑location tracking and same‑day support, saving roughly eight minutes per user per day while streamlining audits, maintenance requests and interoffice accountability.
