How an Asset Bank relaunch ignited a spark across INTO's marketing teams and transformed the way they manage their digital assets

INTO University Partnerships, which helps international students progress to degrees at leading universities, was struggling to manage a growing library of digital assets across global marketing teams. Asset Bank had been set up for the original purchasing team, so new users found it hard to locate files; lengthy mandatory metadata fields caused inconsistent tagging, repeated reuse of the same assets and risky external image searches.

Asset Bank consultants worked with INTO to overhaul the taxonomy, reduce and simplify required metadata, redesign folder structures and update the user experience (using a sandbox for testing and providing guidance). The relaunch drove a ~40% drop in failed searches, a ~20% increase in users, wider adoption of features like auto-tagging and consent handling, faster sharing and better cross-team collaboration, with plans to integrate the DAM further across the organisation.
