National Museum of Women in the Arts - Customer Case Study

The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) faced a digital-management challenge during a two-year renovation: staff working remotely and a mix of contractors had created uncertainty around user access, thousands of unorganized image assets, and inefficient sharing processes. Although the museum had used Asset Bank since 2016, the reopening and influx of new hires made clear the need to centralize access, control accounts, and reorganize assets to support multiple departments.

NMWA made Asset Bank (“Betty”) the institution’s central DAM, using its user-management, approval workflows, upload templates and targeted training to streamline onboarding and asset organisation. The result: widespread cross-department adoption, greatly improved searchability and sharing, and measurable growth in usage—uploads rose from 102 to 1,771 and views from 31,650 to 73,791 year-over-year—saving staff time and avoiding the need for extra hires.
