WoodWard Inc., an independent designer and manufacturer serving aerospace and industrial markets with more than 9,000 employees and operations in 17 countries, faced growing regulatory demands from EU REACH, RoHS and U.S. conflict minerals rules while relying on largely manual processes. Product Material Compliance Project Manager Joseph Auer determined WoodWard needed a third‑party solution and selected Assent and its Assent Compliance Platform to scale the company’s compliance program.

Assent implemented its Compliance Platform and automated Campaign Manager, supplemented by Assent’s Customer Success and Supplier Engagement teams, to take over supplier inquiries and data collection. As a result, WoodWard can now manage roughly 10× the compliance inquiries with similar staff, scale from about 60 to more than 860 products and 28,000 parts, improve supplier data quality, identify supply‑chain risks, and refocus internal teams on strategic work.
