One Platform, 200 Suppliers, Zero Headaches

Pico Technology, a UK manufacturer of PC oscilloscopes and data loggers, was growing quickly and facing increasing compliance pressure from automotive customers and regulators. Before working with Assent, the company relied on manual evidence uploads, spreadsheets, and scattered records to manage RoHS/REACH compliance across 200 global suppliers, making audits difficult and creating risk of fines and lost business.

Assent implemented its Sustainability Platform to centralize supplier compliance data, automate outreach and escalations in suppliers’ local languages, and support broader regulations like conflict minerals, Proposition 65, and PFAS. As a result, Pico achieved greater than 80% supplier response rates on initial campaigns, saved about 2,000 staff hours annually by avoiding one FTE of manual outreach, gained transparency across 500+ parts, and even identified and removed a sub-part containing 1% lead before it became a liability.
