LEDVANCE, a global lighting leader with more than 3,000 employees operating in 140+ countries and roughly $1.7 billion in annual revenue, faced growing regulatory complexity from EU REACH, the revised Waste Framework Directive and the SCIP database. Led by Dr. Martin Schade, the compliance team needed to scale product data collection, supplier engagement and SCIP submissions, so after evaluating options LEDVANCE selected Assent to manage supply-chain data acquisition and automate submissions to the ECHA SCIP database.

Assent delivered a supply-chain data platform with a system-to-system connection to the ECHA SCIP portal, multilingual supplier support, training and subject-matter experts (200+ years combined experience). The integration cut the heavy manual workload (individual web submissions take 10–15 minutes), enabled a small central team to manage compliance for 17 European subsidiaries and thousands of products, and avoided significantly higher internal investment costs while helping LEDVANCE meet circular-economy and sustainability requirements.
