Yarra City Council reaches 12,000 visitors with Assemblo

Yarra City Council sought to develop a unique online educational resource about the Aboriginal history of its region, specifically the history of the Wurundjeri people. The council wanted this resource to be an effective and growing tool for the public. Assemblo worked with the council to realize this digital project.

Assemblo developed a website that presents historical information, photos, and an interactive walking tour of significant sites. The mobile version features a live, self-guided tour with real-time directions. At launch, the site served over 12,000 unique visitors, with nearly 3,000 participants actively taking the tour. It continues to average about 2,000 unique visitors monthly from organic search.
