Using ASPOSE.TOTAL to create value for Xporter for JIRA

Xpand IT, a global IT consultancy and creator of the Xporter for JIRA add‑on, faced customer requests to export JIRA issues using Microsoft Office documents — a capability not natively available in JIRA. To solve this gap they chose Aspose, extending their long‑standing use of Aspose.Words by adopting Aspose.Total to enable Office‑format document generation and template-driven exports.

Using Aspose.Total, Xpand IT integrated a template‑based document engine (implementation ~7–8 weeks) that lets users manage templates in JIRA administration and export issues to PDF, DOCX, RTF, ODT, PNG, SVG and Excel. The Aspose solution met all objectives, enabled project managers to produce custom reports in seconds, increased Xporter for JIRA’s competitiveness and overall business value, and was delivered without needing Aspose support.
