Using Aspose.Total to build reports, spreadsheets and labels

Fermator Group, the world’s largest mono‑product manufacturer of automatic lift doors, was building a new .NET ERP to replace a 20‑year system and needed robust reporting: generating invoices and complex assembly orders, editable documents for quotes and specifications, spreadsheets, and small-format labels with barcodes/QR codes. After evaluating options, Fermator tested Aspose.Words for .NET (part of Aspose.Total for .NET) to meet these diverse output and format requirements.

Using Aspose, the team implemented a stack of nested Microsoft Word templates and a parameterized report generator callable from the ERP; reports render to PDF, DOCX or ODT and can be printed or saved. Aspose enabled reuse of headers/footers (single‑point maintenance), faster report generation than MS Reporting Services, and rapid rollout (license installed in hours; one developer learned the tool in a week and the team became productive within days). Fermator now plans to expand into Aspose.Total for .NET for spreadsheets and barcode generation.
