Channel 4, the UK public broadcaster behind services like 4oD, needed to modernize its file-delivery workflow as the company faced hundreds of hours of proprietary and third-party video in multiple formats and rising file sizes (2–3 GB+). FTP transfers were becoming a bottleneck as Channel 4 expanded to adaptive-bitrate platforms and required a more efficient, reliable, and easily integrated solution to meet cross-platform delivery demands.

Channel 4 implemented Aspera On Demand to move multi-format video directly to cloud object storage, integrating with third‑party transcoding and automating transfers and error handling.
