Jabil, a global electronics manufacturing and supply‑chain company, needed to replace a slow, costly managed file transfer (MFT) system that limited file size and forced users to split and compress large CAD and engineering files. The legacy tool hindered collaboration for thousands of internal and external users and slowed project turnaround across Jabil’s geographically dispersed teams.

Jabil deployed Aspera Faspex On Demand on IBM SoftLayer, using Aspera’s FASP direct‑to‑cloud transfer technology to move unlimited‑size files at high speed and with enterprise security. The change delivered distance‑independent throughput (up to about 95 Mbps), enabled a 124 GB / 3,400‑file transfer in under five hours, eliminated manual splitting/compression, and reduced operating costs while simplifying user workflows.
