Cinedigm, a leading digital entertainment distributor and the largest aggregator of independent digital content, faced a growing need to ingest very large media files (full‑length HD, ProRes, uncompressed) from producers and deliver them quickly and reliably to global distribution partners and internal storage sites. Shipping hard drives was slow and costly, and FTP could not meet their speed, reliability or bandwidth requirements for time‑sensitive distribution and cross‑office collaboration.

Cinedigm implemented Aspera’s FASP‑based suite (Connect Server, Client, Sync and Point‑to‑Point) to accelerate transfers to partners and between offices. The solution delivered 40–90 GB files in under two hours instead of more than a day, provided easy‑to‑use workflows for administrators and end users, scalable throughput for future growth, and real‑time monitoring and control of transfers.
