iROKO, a leading VOD platform for Nollywood with offices in Lagos, New York and London, needed a way to exchange hundreds of hours of daily premium content—individual files up to 100 GB—between globally distributed teams and partners despite high WAN latency and limited bandwidth in parts of Africa.

iROKO deployed Aspera Shares on Demand (powered by FASP) as a cloud-based central ingest to move, QC and upload high‑resolution files into AWS for encoding, transcoding and global distribution. The solution enabled fast, secure transfers (50–100 GB files), adaptive bandwidth control and automatic resume on failure, increasing aggregated monthly transfers to about 6–9 TB and significantly speeding time-to-publish.
