Fuel VFX, a Sydney-based visual effects studio founded in 2000 that works on blockbusters like Prometheus and The Avengers, needed to complete the industry transition from tape to file-based workflows. With work-in-progress and final assets moving globally, FTP was too slow and unreliable; the studio required an ultra-fast, robust, secure transfer system that was simple for internal staff and partners to use.

Fuel VFX selected Aspera Faspex, which integrated with their Linux infrastructure and provided high-speed, managed transfers, web-based ease of use (automatic client install, email notifications, and metadata-enabled drop boxes) plus built-in security (user authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, and integrity checks). The deployment delivered secure, reliable global transfers and simplified workflows, enabling the studio to efficiently move digital assets around the world.
