Case Study: VHX (direct-to-fan video platform) achieves high-speed, reliable cloud ingest of premium video with Aspera On Demand (Aspera)

A Aspera Case Study

Preview of the VHX Case Study

Enabling High-Speed Ingest of Premium Video To The Cloud

VHX is a cloud-based direct-to-fan video distribution platform that helps creators sell and distribute premium video from their own websites. It faced slow, unreliable uploads—individual master files often sized 6–10 GB—leading to WAN bottlenecks, failed transfers, timeouts and a high volume of support requests.

VHX implemented Aspera On Demand to enable high-speed, secure uploads directly into AWS S3, with an easy web interface, bandwidth controls and enterprise-grade security. The result was dramatically reduced transfer times, a steep decline in upload-related support calls, reliable scale-out ingest for large catalogs, and faster time-to-market for filmmakers and distributors.
