Case Study: National Instruments achieves 95% faster global software build synchronization with Aspera

A Aspera Case Study

Preview of the National Instruments Case Study

Empowering Global Software Development with High-Speed Data Transfers

National Instruments (NI), a provider of graphical software and modular hardware for engineers and scientists, supports over 6,000 global users—including 2,000 developers—working from a 300+ TB code repository with files up to 32 GB. NI’s HTTP-based transfers were slow and unreliable, forcing teams to wait days for builds and impeding follow-the-sun development, predictable delivery and customer responsiveness.

NI deployed Aspera High-Speed Transfer Server in its Austin data center, Aspera Sync at 17 remote sites and Aspera Console for centralized management, enabling fast, secure synchronization of builds worldwide. The rollout cut synchronization from two days to two hours (and shortened overall build cycles from four days to four hours), improved reliability and security, accelerated time-to-market and even enabled rapid disaster recovery during a critical incident.
