Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI), a global life‑sciences organization, faced a major challenge: moving ever‑larger next‑generation sequencing (NGS) datasets between internationally dispersed researchers. The solution delivered dramatic results—sustained near‑10 Gbps transfers over a US–China research link, a live demo transfer of 24 GB from Beijing to California in under 30 seconds, and elimination of the time, cost and risk associated with shipping hard drives.
