Aspera (an IBM company) and Civolution teamed up to address the need for stronger, scalable protection of high-value video content across file-based workflows. The challenge was to deter and forensically trace piracy while removing manual steps from ingest-to-delivery processes and ensuring every recipient receives a uniquely identifiable copy.

They integrated Civolution’s NexGuard forensic watermarking with Aspera’s Orchestrator and fasp transfer platform to automate secure ingest, parallel transcoding and per-recipient watermark embedding, with metadata logged to the NexGuard database and SOAP/REST options for customization. The result is an end-to-end, automated workflow that delivers imperceptible, uniquely watermarked content at speed, improves traceability and reduces manual operations.
