Telewizja Polsat, Poland’s largest commercial broadcaster and part of the Cyfrowy Polsat Group, manages 30+ channels and ingests content from 40 local production houses plus globally dispersed news and sports correspondents. With one hour of TV content equating to ~25 GB and roughly 10 TB arriving monthly, legacy delivery by tapes, hard drives and FTP became too slow and manual for tapeless workflows and growing contributor locations, creating a need for a fast, reliable and secure transfer solution.
Polsat deployed Aspera’s FASP-powered suite (Connect Server, Faspex, Drive, Console and SDK) integrated into its workflow, enabling browser- and mobile-based uploads, centralized monitoring and automated notifications. The result: secure, high-speed transfers that replaced manual shipments, streamlined ingest and review, supported real-time collaboration with global correspondents and now handle more than 10 TB/month with much shorter end-to-end turnaround.
