Reliance Petrochemicals - Customer Case Study

Reliance Petrochemicals (RPCM), a major PTA manufacturer in Malaysia, needed a digital Permit-to-Work (PTW) system to meet operations, process-safety and compliance requirements, eliminate double-capture and human errors, and provide company-wide visibility. To address these challenges RPCM engaged ASK EHS to replace paper-based permits with a computerized e-PTW platform.

ASK EHS developed, prototyped and deployed a customized e-PTW solution (area maps, permit re-validation, reporting, e-mail notifications, permit tracking) and provided on-site training and UAT. The rollout involved over 30 RPCM stakeholders, with a 2-week prototype and a 12-week customization/UAT period (14 weeks end-to-end), and delivered a centralized permit repository, real-time dashboards, automatic risk/expiry flags and faster approvals. ASK EHS’s implementation automated routine tasks, reduced manual interventions and maintenance overhead, increased reliability and visibility, and sped up the permit approval process.
