Costain, a leading UK engineering and construction company, was tasked by Transport for London to strengthen and refurbish the Hammersmith Flyover in West London, a critical transport link used by 90,000 vehicles a day. The technically complex project required careful coordination of multiple 3D design models, strict quality control, and minimal traffic disruption. Asite PLC provided the Common Data Environment, including its Navigator module, to support the project’s data and model management needs.

Using Asite PLC’s centralized online platform, the project team and designers were able to manage files collaboratively and federate 3D models from different native software such as Autodesk Inventor and Revit, with clash detection and synchronized model elements. The solution helped keep the project on track and enabled the flyover to be strengthened and refurbished for long-term use, improving reliability for decades to come.
