Thorogood, a UK‑based global business intelligence and analytics consultancy, was struggling with tape-based BackupExec at its London HQ as data grew to 11 TB. Manual tape management created complex storage challenges, rising costs and time-consuming processes—problems that became urgent ahead of an office move and prompted a search for a more reliable, economical backup solution.

The firm deployed a hybrid cloud backup and remote DR service from TIG powered by Asigra’s agentless software, offering centralized, policy‑based protection, encryption and faster recoveries. The solution deduped and compressed 11 TB to 3.5 TB (4:1), removed manual tape handling, freed IT to focus on strategic work, provided instant offsite storage and stronger disaster recovery, and will be rolled out to other offices.
